About westminstertickets.uk
An independent visitor guide to Westminster Abbey, London — written for travellers, not algorithms.
What this site is
westminstertickets.uk is an independent informational website. We write detailed, regularly updated guides to visiting Westminster Abbey: ticket types, prices, opening hours, guided tours, the National Rail 2-for-1 offer, and how to get the most out of a visit. We are not the official Westminster Abbey website, are not affiliated with Westminster Abbey or any UK government body, and we do not sell official tickets ourselves.
Who we are
The site is run by a small editorial team of travel writers and a London-based researcher who has visited the Abbey more than 40 times across the last decade. Content is reviewed against the official Westminster Abbey website at least quarterly, and any time we’re alerted to a price or schedule change.
Our editorial approach
- Source of truth. All factual data on prices, opening hours and ticketing rules is cross-checked against the official site (westminster-abbey.org). Where we cite figures, we date them.
- Honest opinion. When something isn’t worth the money, we say so. We tell readers when a £3 skip-the-line ticket beats a £75 "VIP" alternative.
- No copy-paste. We write in our own words, with our own perspective, and we do not aim to look like the official site.
- Updates. Prices, hours and policies change. We update guides as soon as we’re aware. If you spot something outdated, please tell us at contact@westminstertickets.uk.
How we make money
When you click a "Book" button on this site and complete a booking through a partner platform (such as GetYourGuide), we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same as booking directly with the partner. We use these commissions to keep the site free, ad-light and editorially independent.
We have no incentive to push the most expensive ticket. Our prices, recommendations and "what to skip" advice are the same whether or not you click a partner link — and our most-recommended option is often just to book the standard £30 adult ticket on the official site directly.
What we are not
- We are not the official Westminster Abbey ticket office.
- We do not issue, refund or amend tickets.
- We are not affiliated with The Dean and Chapter of Westminster, the Royal Household, UK Parliament or the UK Government.
- We do not represent National Rail or the Days Out Guide.
